A retreat is an opportunity to turn within. When everyday thoughts and feelings calm down, one is drawn closer to one’s real self.
The alchemical retreat is a powerful tool of transformation; working with the ancient Sufipractices of purification and tuning oneself. Through purification, you get the opportunity to deeply question attitudes and patterns of behaviour. Through tuning, we come closer to the persons we really are, we can reconnect with our soul and find answers to the ever-returning questions: What are my highest ideals? How would I like to be?
What do I need to fulfil my life’s purpose?
In the retreat we will explore chivalry and our inner knight. Hazrat Inayat Khan gave 40 sentences for questioning our conscience and introduced the tradition of spiritual chivalry; an essential part of the Sufi path. Contemplating and applying
these rules in our lives help us evolve as planetary citizens - caring for each other and for our home - the planet. Through them, we rediscover our inter-relationship with all beings.
The retreat is open to all wisdom seekers who want to explore their inner being and share the company of others in the temple and surroundings of Murad Hassil; the sacred place for wish fulfilment: www.soefitempel.nl/english/
We will share guided meditations, individual contemplations, silence and music.
There will also be short conversations in couples on some of the rules of conduct.
The Knighthood of purity/ Alia Kirsten Arnesen
The knighthood of purity is an activity for all who want to study the rules of conduct and apply them in their own lives. The study takes about 4 and 1/2 year to complete, after which one is offered to be knighted in a ceremony. One can also work with the rules for personal transformation without any follow-up activities or ceremony.
